A changing environment and rapid developments in teaching and learning strategies requires constant
review of curriculum. Student learning has to meet current needs and those of tomorrow. Liaison with
employers, current practitioners and the review of learning outcomes ensures that a curriculum reflects
new developments and concepts, meets employer expectations of employees and increases the
employability of students.
Curriculum development needs to consider the entire student learning experience to provide an integrated approach where each component adds value to the whole, enabling students to make connections and links between past, current and future learning.
